Regulars are the bread & butter of your daily income. If you’re dancing as a consistent job, the regulars are the ones that you see every day and rely on for income. Travelers will add variety & out-of-town big spenders, but regulars make up your day-to-day.


Your success depends on being able to build up a regular customer base at your home club.


What They Do


Regulars always test your boundaries & share information with other regulars. The regulars that come consistently form friendships with each other and use the dancers for gossip & entertainment. They will push your boundaries to see what they can get from you then compare notes with each other. If you give one a low price the others will find out about it and demand you lower it for them too. If they’re able to push you over and violate boundaries the others will know and try to do the same.


Regulars will continually try to take you outside the club. They will try to create pressure to get you to do what they want you to do. They may plead, threaten, or cajole you. They may pull money back to try to make you feel scarcity. These are all manipulation tactics that you shouldn't react to.


Regulars will expect a deal or some preferential treatment. It’s up to you or the club which prices you set.


How to keep them


Always remember details and be engaged and involved with their lives. The more you pay attention to them the more indispensable you become. We live in a cold world where 99.9% of people could care less about you or the worth of someone’s life. You are the oasis in the desert. You are the one who remembers and cares. That endears people to you.


Build up a dancer-customer relationship with them. The more consistently they come to see you and continually have positive experiences and their needs met, the deeper your relationship becomes. You both understand that the nature of the relationship is transactional. They know their part and you know yours. As long as you continue to meet their emotional, mental, and sensual needs they will come back and spend.


Make dates for certain days to build up excitement. Tomorrow is "freaky Friday" and everyone is wearing a costume. Add some variety and selling points to your days to continue the fun. Make sure they know what days and times you’ll be there. To spend on you they have to know which days and shifts they can access your time.


Be grateful and appreciate their consistency. It’s easy to take people for granted. Appreciate the loyalty your regulars have for you. You're so important to them that they keep coming back for you.


Turn Newbies into Regulars


Make coming to see you an event. Give them a reason to come back. Make it fun. If they’re having positive experiences, they’ll want to come back. Why do customers come back often? Because you give them the social life that they don’t have. People come to the club, to you, to fulfill needs that they don’t get met.


Have them feel like you’re “their girl”. They invest in you financially and emotionally. You take up space in their mind.


Conclusion


How you treat your regulars determines how much you’ll succeed. Always appreciate them and think of them, especially the longer they are loyal to you. Think of ways to improve their lives and make them happy. What goes around comes around.
